Brand Guidelines - Brand Voice

Your brand's voice & tone — mission, personality, and do/don't rules.

Beginner4 min read

Brand Voice (Voice & Tone) defines your brand’s personality and how it communicates — the words side of your brand.

Where to find it: Left menu → Brand → a brand → Brand Voice. Part of the Brand Guidelines guide.

The Voice & Tone page with Mission Statement, Brand Personality, Tone of Voice traits, and Editorial Guidelines.

Voice & Tone — your mission, personality, tone traits, and the do/don’t rules for how the brand sounds.

Mission & personality

Two panels capture how your brand speaks: a Mission Statement (your purpose) and a Brand Personality (a paragraph describing the character — confident, plain-spoken, and so on).

Tone of voice

Your tone traits appear as chips — short descriptions like “Radically transparent” or “Confident and specific.” Add or remove them to shape how copy reads.

Editorial guidelines

Two lists spell out the rules: Guidelines (Do) — logo usage, color application, type rules — and Restrictions (Don’t) — “Never alter logo colors,” “Never use low-contrast text.” Click Save Voice & Tone when done.
